Now in its 15th year, the Khan Academy Greek Advocacy Program is dedicated to localizing Khan Academy’s platform for Greece, making world-class educational resources accessible to Greek-speaking students and teachers from elementary through high school (K–12).
Although our primary focus is mathematics, we are also working to expand into science, history, and other core subjects, ensuring that every Greek learner can access a complete and engaging educational experience in their own language.
Through Khan Academy Greek, more than 29,000 students so far this year have learned math in Greek, completely free of charge. They are part of a global community of more than 180 million learners in over 50 languages who use Khan Academy every day to build knowledge, confidence, and lifelong learning skills.
We are committed to ensuring that Khan Academy Greek empowers teachers, parents, and coaches to better understand how their students or children are learning and how best to support them. Our teacher dashboard provides both class-wide summaries and detailed student progress reports, making it easy to see where each learner excels or may need extra help.
If you share our passion for education and believe in expanding opportunity through learning, we invite you to join our donors and supporters. Your contribution helps bring free, high-quality education to even more Greek-speaking learners across the world.
Mathaino’s Learning Efficacy Program is a small U.S.-based initiative that helps us test and refine the methods, tools, and learning practices used in our global Khan Academy Greek project.
The program first began in New Jersey in 2010 and expanded to New York City in 2013, engaging middle school and high school students from low-income families in math, English, and science enrichment. By studying how students respond to different instructional techniques, pacing models, and feedback tools, we gain valuable insights that help improve learning outcomes at scale.
Priority enrollment is given to students from low-income families in the United States, and seats are limited. All classes are completely free of charge. Students who wish to participate can complete the Learning Efficacy Program Sign-Up Form.
This efficacy program is made possible through the support of a special U.S. donor and operates independently from funds used for Khan Academy Greek localization.
